CONFESSION AND COMMITMENT
a poem by Harold J. Brokke

My friend, if you believe in Christ
And “Jesus, Lord” you say;
By that confession you agree
To serve Him day by day.

We do not have to wonder if
He calls us to His plan,
For all of us who call Him “Lord”
Are debtors to each man.

But do not some have “special calls”
That sends them “here and there”?
This call is not the call to serve
But how to serve and where!
